Rosa carolina
The carolina rose, also known as prairie rose and pasture rose, is native to North America and grows throughout the continental United States in dry prairies, open woods and thickets. It is now often cultivated. It blooms with fragrant, light pink flowers in May and June that bees love. Later in the summer it yields edible rose hips.
